Kevin Hayward is a Canadian composer and trumpet player from Toronto, Ontario, currently studying composition at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Music. His composition teachers have included Larysa Kuzmenko and Gary Kulesha. As a composer, he has collaborated with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Hannaford Street Silver Band, Bedford Trio, U of T Wind Ensemble, Jack Long Canadian National Honour Band, and the Dutch Orkest de Ereprijs.

As a trumpet player, he performs regularly across the Toronto area and has appeared with the Brott Festival Orchestra (NAO), Scarborough Philharmonic, Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the Weston Silver Band. He is a faculty teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Oscar Peterson School, and has also appeared as a soloist with the Hannaford Youth Band.
